fused glass works

I’ve loved glass objects since I was a kid. Remember all those “glass-blowers” in every tourist gift shop? I still have my collection of little glass animals…

Many years later, I bought a kiln and started fusing glass. I made a few items and quickly learned how much I had to learn. With limited success I made a few items, but it wasn’t until I saw some glass Christmas trees in a magazine and thought, “I can do that.” It was so much fun and creative. I made several fused glass trees that year, displayed them on the piano and immediately received orders for the following year. 

I still make a few custom trees a year and really enjoy the challenge of creating something unique for someone, but I also enjoy the unlimited creativity that comes with working with various types of glass, various shapes, endless color layering and combinations, and how light reflects and transmits through the color and shape of every piece.
